Judy Boyes - Lakeland's Leading Artist
Judy Boyes lives and paints in the Lake District, surrounded by the fells that inspire her work.

Her subjects are found in the quiet corners of Lakeland, and are not the usual tourist views. Stone buildings, rustic village scenes, streams tumbling through hidden valleys - all observed with a keen, perceptive eye and transcribed in a fresh, subtle watercolour style which is both natural and unforced, and admirably catches the atmosphere and changing moods of the area.

A member of the Society of Women Artists and the British Watercolour Society, Judy has exhibited her originals at the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in London. The Artist magazine has featured her river scenes on its cover and in written articles.

Judy has become the most successful artist in the Lake District. She is a perfectionist and will only entrust her originals to a fine art printer who can guarantee perfect reproductions, Abacus Colour Printers Ltd., near Ulverston, Cumbria. The Abacus team's attention throughout the printing process from scanning originals to virtually exact copies leads to the kind of prints that galleries are keen to buy in and sell with confidence.

These are Fine Art Reproductions that have optimum permanency, annually approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild to ensure years of pleasure. Judy Boyes' prints are therefore collectable and affordable, and can be enjoyed by thousands for years to come.

Judy's own gallery in Elterwater, Langdale displays a complete range of her work, and originals can also be viewed and purchased. Permanent reminders of the unique beauty of the Lake District National Park.
